Long Term Acute Care Hospital

Our Treatment Philosophy

Roosevelt specializes in the treatment of critically ill patients requiring continued intensive care and specialized rehabilitation in an acute hospital setting.

Our team of skilled and compassionate clinicians in our long-term acute care hospital can be the perfect fit for patients who have been in an Intensive Care Unit, critical care unit, or who are chronically ill and are frequently readmitted to a hospital. Our average length of stay with us is 25 days. We have proven success in treating patients with pulmonary disease and respiratory failure, with a vent weaning success rate of 87.5%.

In close collaboration with our chief medical officer, Dr. Jackson Elam, the entire team at Roosevelt recognize and use the most successful, evidence-based practices. Board certified physicians make daily rounds, while our experienced nursing staff provide 24 hour care to each patient. Completing the interdisciplinary team as needed by the patient may include respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, registered dieticians, clinical pharmacists, and case managers.
